The production process of molybdenum powder is a complex physical and chemical process. Most industries choose the process method starting from ammonium molybdate and undergoing thermal decomposition and hydrogen reduction. The specific process includes the roasting-stage reduction method; the ammonium molybdate two-stage reduction method . There are two types of reduction equipment: fixed bed type and fluid bed type.

The various processes are as follows:
1. Baking-segmented reduction method:
Ammonium molybdate → roasting → molybdenum trioxide → screening → primary reduction → molybdenum dioxide → screening → secondary reduction → molybdenum powder → screening → batching

2. Two-stage reduction method of ammonium molybdate:
Ammonium molybdate → primary reduction → molybdenum dioxide → screening → secondary reduction → molybdenum powder → screening → batching

The molybdenum powder produced by any process must meet the production needs of different powder metallurgy products. The quality of molybdenum powder is mainly measured on the basis of chemical purity and physical properties. The main content of physical properties is particle size and bulk density (fluidity). Therefore, the vibrating screen is irreplaceable in the molybdenum powder production process.
